“Dans l’œil du flâneur” by Hermès

“Dans l’oeil du flâneur” by Hermès was simply one of the most creative exhibitions I’ve ever visited. It has been exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London in April and arrived in Paris on September 18th where it’ll stay until October 5th, 2015. Then, it will go to Turin in December and Shanghai in 2016. It settled on a structure with 11 rooms on the bank of Seine River. “Dans l’oeil du flâneur” means “In the eye of the flâneur”, and the flaneur is the one who walks observing and contemplating the city. Everything in the exhibition leads us to this dreamlike and urban universe of the “flanerie”. I thought it was really impressive to observe the poetry and wealth of details present in the objects and interactive dashboards hiding Hermès products over its spaces. During the stroll through the site, visitors could also understand a little bit of the history and imagination that drive some quite emblematic places in the city of Paris. Amid the rooms, we could observe bicycles, umbrellas, boots, playing cards, travel notebooks, watches and of course the classic and beautiful Hermès bags. Everything had an impeccable presentation, and the exhibition theme was particularly interesting and well developed in great harmony with the brand philosophy of this traditional French fashion house. I can only say that it’s really worth visiting it if you have have the opportunity to do so!!!
