Though New York is a city known for the huge amount of skyscrapers, it’s also full of parks and green areas. The Central Park is one of the most famous parks in the world, and it’s understandable that many people who visit New York for the first time think it’s the only park really important to get to know in the city, but it has many other options. When the sun comes up in the city, it’s great to go for a walking in one of these parks and enjoy the day outdoor. Thinking about it, I listed below five of them that deserve to be known on a trip to New York beyond the Central Park.
Bryant Park
Bryant Park is a cozy little park located right behind the New York Public Library. As it’s situated in a very central area of Manhattan, it’s on the way to several New York attractions. In the summer, you can watch free outdoor movie screening there on Mondays. Oh, a tip for people who are without 4G in New York: the wifi of the New York Public Library is free and works well in some parts of the park if you are in need connect any device to the internet.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Brooklyn Botanic Garden is one of the most famous US Botanic Gardens. This place is absurdly beautiful in spring when the cherry trees are blooming! It’s a true paradise this time of year for those who like flowers. The landscapes and colors throughout the park are breathtaking!!!

High Line Park
High Line Park is located on the elevated infrastructure of a train track that was built in the 1930s, but was no longer being used. It’s a pretty new park! Construction began in 2006 and was only fully completed in September 2014. Today, it has beautiful gardens and is an excellent place to enjoy a view of the Hudson River.

Battery Park
This park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan Island. It has a very interesting history. In the past, before people enter the country through Ellis Island, immigrants came through Battery Park in New York. You can see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island from there. The ferry that makes the trip to the Statue of Liberty departs from Battery Park.

Flushing Meadows–Corona Park
The most famous icon of this park is the Unisphere, a huge steel globe created for the 1964 World’s Fair. It’s the city’s second-biggest park! Besides the rolling green fields, it also encompass a zoo, a boating lake, a skate park, a and a hockey center.
