Van Gogh Museum

Vincent Van Gogh is for sure one of the most celebrated artists in the world. The Van Gogh Museum houses his most famed works and it’s one of the most popular attractions in Amsterdam. The place has the world’s largest collection of Van Gogh’s paintings which are on display in a permanent collection. You can also find works by Cesanne, Gauguin, Monet, Seurat, Sisley and Toulouse-Lautrec  in the museum which are also in the permanent collection. Additionally, visitors can enjoy temporary exhibitions in the modern annex. You can see his most famous works in the museum, including Sunflowers, Wheatfield with Crows, Irises and The Bedroom in Arles. The entry price of €15 is charged for adults and it’s free for anyone under 17.

Opening hours:

  • 1 March – 30 June 2014: daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday until 10 p.m.
  • 1 July – 1 september 2014: daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday until 10 pm, Saturday until 9 pm
  • 2 September – 26 December 2014: daily 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday until 10 p.m.
  • 27 December – 31 December 2014: daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday until 10 p.m.
