Mandarin Oriental Paris

Mandarin Oriental is ideally located between the Louvre Museum and Place Vendome at Rue Saint-Honoré which is one of the most prestigious shopping streets in the French capital. In a city where there is no shortage of luxury accommodation, Mandarin Oriental Paris is very well positioned among the best hotels in town. The decoration retains the typical characteristics of the Asian Hotel Group, but gains local touches with delicate and creative details that take a bit of the Parisian style to its spaces. The calm and tranquility inspired by its public areas make the hotel seem a little paradise in the heart of the city. It’s also worth remembering that the hotel won the title of “palace” in 2014, honor that is granted by the Ministry of Tourism of France just for a very select group of 5-star hotels.

Rooms & Suites

Mandarin Oriental has some of the most spacious rooms and suites of the city. The tranquility and calm of the hotel’s public areas are logically also present in their accommodation. They may have views to the inner courtyard of the hotel or to rue Saint Honoré which is one of the most important Parisian locations for fashion and luxury. The décor is always contemporary and creative, referring to the female figure with delicate elements of great taste.  Royale Mandarin Suite occupies two floors and is something you need to see to believe! It has wonderful views from many different angles, and the incredible décor details make its spaces look extremely elegant.

Restaurants

Mandarin Oriental Paris has several restaurants to let its guests enjoy a good time there. Camellia is a well-lighted place located in the heart of the hotel with a more relaxed atmosphere where it’s served French cuisine dishes. Bar 8 has a sophisticated atmosphere where you can enjoy cocktails or other drinks. The Cake Shop is the hotel’s patisserie that offers the most delicious French sweets. Finally, we have the acclaimed restaurant Sur Mesure signed by Thierry Marx that has simply two Michelin stars and is up to offer an unforgettable dining experience for lovers of fine cuisine.

Considerations

For those who appreciate art, I need to emphasize that it’s quite present at the hotel in its various forms. Over the public spaces, we find photographs, illustrations, paintings, sculptures and decorative objects of great taste that guarantee a unique air of elegance to the place. Unlike other luxury hotels in Paris that prefer to maintain a more classic atmosphere in the decoration of their environments, Mandarin Oriental retains the essence from other hotels of the chain with contemporary environments receiving little details that refer to Paris as its location. I truly think the hotel may be an ideal staying option for those traveling with an interest in fashion and shopping and, at the same time, looking for a place with a contemporary style where you can relax and also have good leisure options. Several major fashion and luxury brands have stores nearby. The Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries are also within walking distance of the site.
